I went from a departmentalized Math and Language Arts environment to a self-contained classroom this year. Still the same school, but the powers that be wanted teachers to teach self-contained. So, I find myself teaching Science again after many, many years.
So far, I am treading water. The previous Science teacher ordered brand new books which I already feel are chalk and talk.
