Learning Together: Understanding and appreciating students' cultural backgrounds

Good read

This article covered many points that current teachers are facing in their classrooms. Students are migrating from numeorus countries to the United States, and finding their own way through the acclimation process. Teachers are encouragesd to embrace the students culture and include it within the curriculum to their best ability. Students routinely react more positively when their native culture is accepted rather than left tas a background thought. This article also provided a detailed lesson plan for including all students in a science lesson. I enjoyed reading this article, and will keep it for future reference.

Excellent collection!

This collection posses a well-rounded group of meterials. It contains several articles, a science object, a sci-guide, and a book chapter. I completed the science object again to review the concepts shown and it was quite useful. These types of resources may be an essential key to reaching out to students different styles of learning. I found the sci-guide to be rich in content for elementary teachers. The sci-guide map provided detail on each component within the topic. It detailes themes and key words associated with each. It also provides lesson plans and examples. Stepping into the field with these resources will be great help. The overall review of this collection is outstanding. The resources are varied, rich in content, and interesting.
