I agree with everyones postings about actually growing a plant. While the standard says observing you can do so much more than that! Before you plant the seed you can ask the students if the seed is living. Most students will not think so but, as the seed grows you can show the students that the seed was living and it grew a plant which is also living. This connects the observation of plants with ...

Air pollution Collection
Sun, Nov 22, 2015 12:50 PM Air Pollution Review
This collection had interesting and quality information on Air Pollution. The author was able to find relevant information on the topic. Her articles ranged from what air pollution actually means to how air pollution effects our environment and ourselves. One article in particular that interested me was “A Breath of Fresh Air” which was a Science Scope article. Most people think or air pollution as an outdoor issue but this article talks about indoor pollution. What causes indoor air pollution is inadequate ventilation because it doesn’t let enough fresh air in. I found that very interesting and it was something I wasn’t aware of before. Another interesting resource in this collection was Air Pollution and Environmental Equity. It talked about the different types of pollutants and how the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) strive to make the worlds air quality a little bit better. This is a great chapter to show when talking about air pollution. Overall, I am impressed with this collection. Reading through the articles and chapters gave me better knowledge on air pollution.
