I just found an excellent free NSTA book chapter that you might like to read. It has exhibits, flow charts and tables that attempt to organize and connect the many facets (theories, standards and practice) of the complex field of educational assessment.It's entitled, "A Rational for Assessment". This morning, I read a very good NSTA book chapter on assessment entitled, " A Rational for Assessment".
