I'm the founder & CEO of Galactic Polymath Education Studio–makers of (FREE) creative, interdisciplinary learning experiences adapted from current research. As a scientist who's done work in 7 countries, taught undergrad and grad courses, and also taught at a Nashville, TN public middle school for 3 years, I am very frustrated with the lack of access teachers and students have to the vast knowledge contained in the estimated 2.5 million scientific papers published each year. With Galactic Polymath, I want to build an ecosystem of learning content that is built in collaboration with and funded by researchers and nonprofits who need to do outreach. And I want to grow an active community of teachers who test and provide feedback to make sure our lessons are as effective and easy-to-teach as possible. My goal is to leave students changed and empowered by our lessons, to strive for our tagline: think bigger–learn everything!
