Pictures are always great. Also look on youtube for videos too. Theres some really cool simulations that can draw them in.

Hello! I am a preservice teacher and I am currently planning an integrated unit on force and motion for fifth grade. I was wondering if anyone had ideas for lessons to incorperate. I am introducing the lesson with a Rubegoldberg machine video. Was wondering what a good next step would be. I have tons of ideas but lack direction.

Maybe something invovling the scale of the solar system. Due to its size its hard to acurately demonstate. Can have the studnts figure out scale model equivalents so they can get a feel of things. I did something similar to this where I used a basketball as the Sun and found other objects that corresponded to the planets so students could get a feel for the sizes of things.

Provides a great overview on how to plan and organize a plant field guide created by students. It addresses the 5E model of science learning and provides a rubric that can be used with the plant guide. Great for use with classes when engaging with the outdoors.
