For kindergarten, I once titled my animal lesson "Zoology"
I taught my lesson that animals are put into categories/groups. ~ Vertebrates and Invertebrates ~
I begin with vertebrates and share that these animals have bones and show a sample bone structure. Then I go into the invertebrates with no bone (butterfly, jellyfish, little beetle).

I too did the food safety sci-pack.
I tied it into a health lesson and used this lesson from

I modified it and made it fit my specific standards for Jr. Kindergarten.

On Kauai, the bird being addressed are the shearwaters.
Our island no longer has Friday Night football games, the lights are too bright for the birds and they get lost by the lights.
