My NSTA / Peers / Kimberley Norris-Jones

I teach physical science to the 9th and 10th grades. I am hoping to bring an Earth Science class to our school to help ease crowding in Chemistry. (2014) I now teach chemistry to 10th -12th graders, Earth Science to 9th graders, and Environmental Studies to 9th-12th graders. I am an advocate for adding an Earth Science 2 class to better promote Geosciences as a career. (2022)

What a great idea! I am not near a Naval base but I am close to several Air Force and Army bases. In thinking about what you must of learned about real world physics is exciting. I hope that I can have the success that you did.

I am all for STEAM. One of the 'outside of class' assignments is to attend a form of performance art and write a 75-100 word synopsis of what they saw and how science was 'portrayed'.
