This is a great question, as engaging your students is super important. I think one of the best ways to keey students involved within a lesson is to make it personal. Allow your students to be able to relate to the lesson and draw conclusions from it. Having activities that are hands on are also very beneficial.
Hope this helps!

Creating Art Projects From Recycled Materials
Mon, Nov 26, 2018 8:20 PM Great Resource!!!
I enjoy this resource as it is filled with many activities for elementary aged students about recycled materials. Each activity comes with a mini lesson plan, such as materials, amount of time and steps to have a successful lesson. I would recommend this to teachers that are in the recycling unit.
