Worth the Read
I chose to read this book because I love to cook and I sell homemade desserts. Some of the information in this book I was already aware of but, I also learned a great deal. I knew the basics but this book was great at explaining food borne illnesses from how they begin as a cell to how and why we end up sick. I learned about which illnesses are deadly and which illnesses just cause stomach upset. I knew the 4 c's but this book went further to tell about what temperature to keep your food, the necessary PH and even spices to use on your meat to help kill any bacteria that may be in it. The periodic reviews and quizzes are a great way to go over what you learn in each unit and it helps to prepare you for the final assessment.
