Hello! I'm Katrice! I am 22 years old and a senior in college. I am studying ECE and could not be more excited to have my own classroom someday :) I really hope to teach second grade or kindergarten!
In the event that I have free time, I love spending time with my dog- Archer! I also love to be with my wonderful boyfriend and loving family!

I CT had students shake their first day "jitters" into a jar! The jitters were represented with fireflies and by the end of all the jitters being shaken out, there was a jar of "fireflies". From there the conversation went to bugs and insects and we started a lesson on them! It was such a smooth transition :) Great method to use!

How Does Force Affect Motion?
Thu, Oct 20, 2016 3:28 PM Wow!
I love how this article broke the forces down into content that isn't too difficult and wordy to understand. I love how it provided a pre-assessment so you can better evaluate your students level of understanding. Once you have the pre-assessment you will be able to better prepare for the unit of force/motion. I plan on using this :)
Teaching Through Trade Books: Cloud Watchers
Thu, Oct 20, 2016 3:14 PM Nice!
Great way to tie trade books into the lesson! Love the trade books mentioned! Cloudy with a chance of meatballs is also a great trade book to use when introducing clouds/weather.

This is such a wonderful resource! It provides examples for VARIOUS grades, provides material and a material list as well. I love the K-3 idea :)
