Mon, Nov 30, 2020 1:29 PM Great Resource for Lesson Preparation
I would definitely recommend this E-book for educators to either update their own knowledge of the flow of energy or to use with their students. It includes detailed but easy-to-follow descriptions of each topic covered, including matter, carbon, and energy. It also includes interactive models that could be used with elementary students in class. Each topic is summarized with a quiz to check for understanding and there is a final assessment provided upon completion of the book. These tools provide a way to measure progress and gave me confidence in the improvement of my knowledge of each topic. This E-book is a great resource for teachers to refresh their understanding about the flow of matter and energy in ecosystems, and to learn more about the pedagogical implications for teaching these topics to specific grade levels.
