Dr. Palmer is a 21-year veteran classroom science educator and currently (3 years) holds the position as the District Science Curriculum Coach in Georgetown County. She has had experience as a classroom teacher, mentor, and department leader. She received a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from Clemson University, a Master of Education in Math and Science from the College of Charleston, National Board Certification in Biological Sciences, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University. Prior to becoming an educator, she worked in an engineering lab using various equipment and testing samples for a variety of corporate companies inclusive of testing samples from Ground Zero from New York after the 9/11 attack. She spends spare time interacting with her church, sorority, and other community groups.
