Review for Jessica's Collection
As soon as I saw this collection I knew I wanted to check it out. Natural Disasters have always intrigued me. Her collection is great and contains various resources that give tons of information on different kinds of natural disasters. I like how she has resources that just include information but still has resources that include lessons on how to teach about natural disasters. I particularly liked the Teaching Through Trade Books Journal Article because it can really be helpful for teachers in figuring out how to incorporate this concept in a lesson. It allows students to use science process skills which we have been learning about a lot this semester. Jessica's resources are very thorough and have ideas on research students can conduct regarding natural disasters. Overall, I could definitely see myself using this collection during a Natural Disasters Unit in my future classroom.
