I have also found it difficult to teach based on inquiry. I see the importance of it but being taught to just learn what the teacher told me, has made it difficult for me to teach differently. Inquiry based learning is a great way for students to become expert learners on their own. Students learn to teach themselves, you as a teacher are just there to facilitate their learning. Hi everyone,
I am currently in a second grade classroom. I have to teach plant characteristics and their importance to meet plants basic needs. I have decided to break down each structure. I would like to teach roots first, then the stem, the leaves, and so on. What are some good experiments to incorporate with my lessons?
