These are the resources that I have included for my life science collection! The first resource is a journal article that talks about connecting the movie Avatar to Ecosystems which is a topic learned under life science. This article discusses "The Dream Ecosystem" that is depicted in Avatar. Another resource I included was a video about Ocean Animals that explains some of the different features of aquatic animals. The next resource is podcast that helps explain how to keep students engaged when transitioning from astrobiology to zoology. The last resource is a lesson plan activity about matter cycles in food chains. The class activity is a play that the class can either perform in whole groups or small groups where they explain nutrients in food chains.
These are the resources that I have included in my collection on physical science! "Experimenting with Force and Motion Using Origami Frogs" is a fun activity where the students make an origami and test it various ways to study the force as it moves. The "Forms of Energy" is a youtube video that explains the different forms of energy that students study throughout elementary school. "Kinetic and Potential Energy" is an article that I found online that explains the differences between the two. "Physical Science-PS3-(2)" is an example lesson plan for 5th graders that teaches them how matter is made up of small particles. And lastly, there is a podcast that explains the structure and properties of matter.
