I am a student teacher right now and I did a lesson segment of the lifecycle of seeds to plants for my Kindergarten class. It can easily be modified and done for any grade. As they get older, it would be more detailed (e.g., reproductive parts of a flower, respiration, photosynthesis, etc).

As a pre-student teacher, we have learned that if you finish your lessons early, you can try to do sponge activities. From what I have noticed from observing my kindergarten class, most of our time is wasted on classroom management.
