A Solar Energy Cycle
I chose this article because unlike most it isn't just a bunch of information pasted together. It is an actual day by day experiment with explicit instructions.
I learned that the sun is too far from the earth to actually heat it directly.
(8) Earth and space. The student knows that there are recognizable patterns in the natural world and among objects in the sky. The student is expected to:
(C) observe, describe, and illustrate objects in the sky such as the clouds, Moon, and stars, including the Sun.
I don’t disagree with anything in this article. I do agree that it is assumed by most students that the sun heats the earth but in fact it is more than that. This experiment clarifies and makes it easier for students to understand that.
