I am and always will be a student. I plan to continue learning for the rest of my life. I might learn new best practices or developments in my field or others, but I feel that learning is key to better teaching. I am currently pursuing my master's in teaching at the University of Kentucky after receiving my bachelor's in biomedical sciences from Morehead State University.

I think it is a great idea to take students outside to explore nature. I also feel like having students bring nature into the classroom from home to examine is another way to make it real that can help if there is limited access to a variety of life within safe reach of a school.
