Your Collection Review

Your collection is well rounded and covers many different areas. What I love most is that it has information regarding the many different cycles found in science. There are many different resources on the different life cycles of animals and a comparison between them as well as the life cycle of plants. I feel there are plenty of resources that will be engaging to the students in your classroom.

My Review

What I enjoyed most about this collection is that it covers many different areas of science. It covers the water cycle, plate tectonics, the weather, the wilderness, the ocean, and what animals eat. This collection is well rounded and can be tailored to many different elementary grades. Having versatile material to teach students is very important because a teacher will be able to cater many different grade levels and it will also help with differentiated instruction. The journal that I enjoyed the most was Words to the Wild. The reason I enjoyed this the most is because it teaches students the importance of their journals and how useful they are in science because "They may contain observations and drawings of plants, animals, and their habitats; tallies, tables, and graphs; ideas and inferences; scientific questions and thoughtful “wonderings”; narratives and reflections; and even poetry".
