The most important Kagan Strategy in my classroom is the seating system. Tables of 4 students: 1 high, 1 high medium, 1 low medium, and 1 low, seated in a specific pattern. I talk about "shoulder partners" and "face partners" and often assign activities based on their seat numbers (all number 2s go get the scissors). It is an excellent way to manage seating.

I'm sure you've Googled and found templates. My problem when I was starting out was that I could find resources that explained the 5E and what was meant by each of the words, but I needed EXAMPLES of things that fit each step, so that I would feel comfortable writing up my own.
