This article provides readers with several assessment ideas that are used at each stage in the learning process. I really enjoyed the ideas that were brought up in this article, as the authors recognized the importance of checking for understanding, having students dive deeper, and then taking it to the next level. Many times, I have seen educators who believe assessment is only necessary at the end of the lesson to determine understanding. However, this article looks at assessment from a new angle.
