When my kids ask me something I don't know the answer to, I'm honest with them about it. I say that I don't know, but we can figure it out together. If you have time, you can show them how to look it up. If you work with older kids, you can tell them that it's a great question and ask if they could research it and come back next time to share what they learned with the class. It...

Kids have such a natural curiosity about the world around them. I like telling them that science is how we figure out how things work and then let them ask the questions.
