Sizing up the Planets
I really liked this article because it shows the differences between an inaccurate and accurate model of the solar system. It helps students to be able to grasp the scale and complexity of how our solar system is arranged and scaled to size. I like how he portrayed the distances between the planets by using a sentence strip model. It helps to represent the distance each planet is from the sun. This is a useful tool to use when making a 3D model of the planets and the relationship with the sun. The only flaw from this article is that there is a lack of creativity given to teachers so that they can teach the material in different ways.
