I am interested in earth science and helping students of all ages to appreciate the dynamic Mother Earth. I teach grades 3 through 8 and ELL high school. I am presently subbing, volunteering, and taking ASU online classes in technology and online education. My main areas of expertise have been in the language arts, basic math, social studies, and readers theatre, but I'm working on the earth science of geology (rocks and minerals, volcanoes, plate tectonics, and earthquakes) to improve my core knowledge.
Writing a young reader book about a kid who loves to dig certainly gave me the motivation to explore geology. And now I'm hooked.

Good basic resource for core knowledge
Good overall presentation for building core knowledge for someone who has not had an earth science (geology class). Effective strategy to have reviews with assessments.
