Do you think it would be too confusing for children who don't know about many animals yet? I wonder if they don't know about bears hibernating, or other climate specific animals that it would be more confusing.

I think a great way to help younger students better understand weather would be to incorporate a weather person in the morning meetings. Have a student go look out the window and tell the class what it looks like outside. Is it cloudy? Is the sun shining? Are there leaves on the ground? Have that student choose an appropriate weather symbol and place on the weather calendar for that week. This wou...
