I have been an educator for the last eight years in both East Haven and Suffield CT. I also worked briefly as a science teacher at the Academy for Technology and Academics in Conway, SC. My teaching experience has included grades 6-12 and spans courses such as Biology, Integrated Science, Chemistry, Forensics, Marine Science, and Selected Topics in Science. I was named the 2012 East Haven Public Schools Teacher of the Year and also received the Outstanding Educator Award at Goodwin College where I serve as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Health and Natural Sciences. I spent two years as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions at Fairfield University teaching science education courses ranging from Science Methods to Student Teaching Seminar. I was proudly named recipient of the Robert Yager Teaching Award for NSTA in 2017 and will be presenting with the other recipients at the National Congress on Science Education in Buffalo NY.
