Biomimicry Collection review
I very much liked some of the resources which were included in your Biomimicry collection, namely, "The Mystery of the Lotus Effect", as well as “A New Way of looking at The World,”. The first article, “The mystery of the Lotus Effect” was probably the best suited article in the collection, to go with the what the collection should have been about- biomimicry. It fascinated me, how scientists have been inspired by this flower to create everyday products which are self-cleaning, similar to this flower. The article “A New Way of Looking at the World” also provided many good and interesting ideas which can be used in our potential classrooms, although I don’t think it was as well suited for this collection as the “Lotus Effect” article was. Additionally, I re-did the quiz for the science object which we had previously done, the "Interdependence of Life: Species Relationships” object, which proved refreshing to the different types of symbiotic relationships between species. Overall, I think that the articles which were chosen were very interesting and proved to be helpful, however I don’t think that all of the artless were well suited to be placed in a biomimicry collection.
