That Is very good advice for a first year teacher. As I've been completing my lesson with my field experience classes, I realized that a lot of my lessons do not go as planned. MY teachers always tell me to have a plan B and C when conducting my lessons. Also knowing that all children are not the same, is helpful when creating lessons and activities for your class.

Although Halloween is long gone, the website list several great activities that would put that old Halloween candy to good use. STEM may be a difficult area for students to understand, but these activities will really get them interested. They are fun and exciting lesson/ investigations, that students will really enjoy. As stated before, some of the lessons may be limited because of food allergies...

Astronomy Collection

Great Collection
I was attracted to this collection because I have always had a love for astronomy. However, in elementary and secondary school, I do not remember learning a lot about it. Most of the things I learned about the study of astronomy was by reading and seeing television programs, or after I have already graduated school. I feel that science teachers skip over a lot of great material so that they can cover the things that they are forced to teach for testing purposes. I like this collection because it has a lot of useful material that can help teachers introduce astronomy topics to different age groups. I like that the collection has a combination of journal articles, book chapters and a podcast. It has helpful articles about stargazing and also a helpful chapter for teachers to create and encourage an inquired focused classroom. The collection also has an article that helps teachers to create a lesson to introduce students with sensory impairments to astronomy. I feel that that is very important that teachers incorporate modifications and accommodations when teaching students with special needs. I felt that that was a great addiction to her collection. Overall I like her collections, and the articles that she chose.
