Classroom Management
This chapter book provides effective information about building classroom management which is an ongoing skill. This chapter makes very insightful points about being clear and consistent with routines and procedures to make sure your classroom is managed in a positive way that will help both the teachers and the students be successful. One of the biggest takeaways from this chapter was allowing students leadership roles in the classroom. This is a great way to have students gain accountability skills and create a sense of community in the classroom. One thing this chapter addresses is being consistent with the classroom rules with your students. One thing I would add to this tip is reinforcing positive behaviors instead of bringing attention to every minor misbehavior. All of these tips from this chapter are a great way for teachers to promote a safe and effective learning environment.
