The teaching possibilities are endless with this type of technology! It is exciting to be teaching in a time where kids can go on virtual field trips all over the world! It would be great to have a list of school/teachers around the world that could collaborate together in providing these virtual field trips using google glasses!

Technology is a wonderful tool when it is used appropriately. I agree that children must be redirected and supervised when using technology. Organisms: Lesson Plan activities and Resources

This collection discusses organisms and the ecosystems they live in. There are lessons on cellular respiration and understanding the relationship between matter and energy. This specific lesson will need to be taught after a lesson on photosynthesis. After completing the lesson students will be able to make the connections between photosynthesis ad cellular respiration. This collection also includes a science guide on the interrelationships among plants, animals and their environments. It also speaks about biotic and abiotic components. It contains teacher lesson and links to core content, inquiry and aligned assessment websites. Student links are also provided on core content. This collections also has a 5th grade outdoor study on essential organisms in ecosystems that speaks about decomposers.

Inquiry teaching strategies, food web and interdependence of Life

There are many resources in this collection that cover a wide variety of topics. There are journal articles that cover inquiry based teaching strategies, lessons on feeding strategies of frogs, the concept of the food web, energy flow, constructing energy pyramids, games that teach the relationship between predator and prey. Ecosystems are also explained along with synergism. The interdependence of life is also taught with first hand experiences that help student understanding by focusing on familiar things they can relate to. I also like the article on Game Time which teaches about predation using a popular game that children can be engaged in while learning.
