I agree! Any age-appropriate hands on activities are always great for first graders. Also, outdoor activities are excellent alternatives to classroom activities since the students can explore and observe nature.

Thank you for sharing! I am glad that there is an NGSS application. With so much to do and remember, it is great to know that there is a convenient way to retrieve the standards anytime and anywhere! I will definitely download it!

Plants - 2nd grade lesson Collection

Review on Plants Collection

This collection is made up of a variety of great and useful resources, from designing a 5E instructional model to introducing vocabulary in a science lesson (very helpful since there are so many vocabulary words associated with plants), and of course, resources on plants. My favorite resource is the website with hands-on lessons and activities about plants. Overall, this is a great collection!
