Rich Content, Very Useful!
I liked how one of the articles spoke about how learning is enhanced when teachers recognize and teach diverse learning styles and strengths. The same article offers other principles such as explicit instruction, assessments, and feedback, that teachers can use to increase success in science in these students. Another article talks about tiering, or teaching by grouping students by interests, readiness, or learning profiles. The science sampler articles offers tips on what to do before, during, and after lessons. I really enjoyed how all the articles emphasized that working to help those students with special needs, benefits ALL students. Some articles also talk about assessments to use with these students and they encourage teachers to use graphic organizers. I found all the sources easy to read and useful. The collection is cohesive and shares some of the same inforation in different ways. I enjoyed reading the articles.
