Laurie Salvail serves as a curriculum development specialist with CYBER.ORG the Academic Division of the Cyber Innovation Center. She works to develop rigorous elementary science and technology modules that reach the Next Generation Science Standards and the components of three-dimensional learning. She is also a PhD candidate at Louisiana State University studying Curriculum and Instruction in Science Education. Laurie loves coding, encrypting secret messages, and blowing up an occasional science experiment.

Music is a great tool that can be used for motivation in any classroom. I love finding simple tunes that can be used to help signal to students that it is time for something different (for example a tune that lets groups know that it is time to clean up and come back together as a whole class).
