I am a pre-service teacher at Purdue University Calumet. I am currently in Science/Math methods. I plan on getting my middle school certification for mathematics and possibly science. I have a passion for the middle grades. I graduate in December 2016.

I have always thought that having a class pet would be an amazing experience for students. What are some pets that you have had in your classroom? I have thought about having mice, bearded dragon, or caterpillars. What are some of the challenges you have come across with having a class pet?

In my student teaching for this semester, I covered the standard: 4.PS.1 Investigate transportation systems and devices that operate on or in land, water, air and space and recognize the forces (lift, drag, friction, thrust and gravity) that affect their motion. I am a pre-service teacher and I have found that teaching science is fun and an momentous part of learning. I will be student teaching in 6th grade in the fall.
