Review of Solar System Collection
After going over and reading the resources provided in this collection, I would say that it is very helpful and interesting. As educators we might feel afraid to teach a subject of specific topic within a certain subject and I feel like this would be one of those topics for me. I say this because I have little to not knowledge about the Solar System even though it intrigues me. This is exactly why I chose to review this collection. The collection helps us focus on specific areas for developing a lesson such as the size of the solar system. This collection provides us with important tips like the fact that scales are very important when teaching about the size of something. Without scales, we would not really be able to explain to our students to dimensions of a planet or in this case, the solar system. I am very pleased to see that there is a Scipack included in this collection. Scipacks are a great way to learn actively. I think that if I wanted to master this topic before teaching it to my student, I would definitely complete this Scipack as it is very thorough and it provided practice along the way. I would recommend this collection to all educators who teach science and are interested in conducting a lesson on the Solar System.
