They can turn it into a journal where they write and draw pictures that they observe. I am doing a two week project on that topic in a fun way. The topic will mainly talk about golf and the different aspects it entails. No Time Needed

Time is limited especially with all the many topics that need to be covered in school. But so much can be done in the limited time that we have. Having limited resources is not a big deal either. You can accomplish a lot with limited time and resources.

A topless roller coaster

Scary Creative

This article make me want to go to an amusement park and get on a roller coaster. The idea of having students go to a park and use instruments ro measure gravity, velocity, and such is a great idea. The idea of this article is if it is possible to create a coaster which has a loop but the loop does not have the top part to it. Will the coaster still connect to the other side? That would be frigtening to test, but a great idea to research.

Indoor-Outdoor Science

In the article Indoor-Outdoor Science, the classroom created mini landfills of decomposing organic and inorganic litter. They were testing out different kinds of litter for rates of decomposition. The students made predictions as to which material would decompose faster. After the students made their predictions they recorded observations for a period of time. The class was learning and applying STEM content. Each student was able to learn about the rate of decomposition of organic and inorganic material. They could apply that knowledge with how larger landfills operate and the process that is used. The class also collaborated to create the landfill as well as listen and be receptive to one another’s ideas. This is a great idea for an elementary level class. They would love to collect trash and figure out what happens to it in a landfill. They would love getting down and dirty.
