All of this information was very useful because I am actually currently working on concept maps in my class. Side-walk chalk is a great tool to use for younger children! Overall, great ideas!

The Water Cycle Collection

LaRosa's Review on Gabrielle's Water Cycle
Looking through Gabrielle's collection it was clear that she put things in the collection that was made to assist her in her "Water Cycle" lesson. I found the articles she chose to put in her collection to give great details about the Water Cycle and startegies for helping students connect everyday life to Science concepts. I enjoyed going through her collection to find useful information. One of the articles in her collection "The Home Zone: Water for Life talked about how it often seems to rain endlessly in spring. The article says that although rainy days are a nuisance, they are actually vitally important to all living things. I found the information about rain showers very interesting and useful. It stated that rain showers are part of the continuous movement of water between Earth’s surface and the atmosphere. The information gave me a lot of insight and tools I could use to teach other students. I enjoyed looking through Gabrielle's collection and reading through some journals. I think it was effective and very useful!
