My favorite way to assess students in a science classroom is by using Kahoot.it or other games. Children don't really like the old fashion formal assessment with pencil and paper. If it is done in a fun way, children won't find it tedious. In addition, teacher can assess students just by asking verbal questions and teacher can tell if a student understood the lesson or not.

Hi Olivia, I am not a teachet yet but based on my after care experience, I feel like organization, communication and rules are very important in a classroom. You need to create great habits starting when you first meet them. Also repetition is very important, Take 1-3 mins out of your class time to go over the classroom rules.

One of may favorite hands-on activity to do with students is Oobleck. The could get the chance to make the experiment and it deals with liquid, solid and viscosity. It is a great way for the students to learn because they get to feel the substance and the kids really enjoy it. Another activity, I recommend is doing the "Oil Spill experiement". Hi Sabrina, I love your collection. I like how everything is organized and it only about the Solar System. In addition, I like how you labeled it as "5th grade solar system resources", it is really helpful when you want to go back to the lesson when you need it. The resources you provided are awesome, there is a mix of Journal articles, book chapters, interactive e-book and science objects. I highly recommend this collection to another teacher and it will be helpful when I become a teacher in the future.

I love all the articles in your collection! Very organized and informational. I like how it all ties in with the Human Body! I like the article "Human Body Basics", I think everyone should be informed about the human body especially elementary and middle school students. Your collection was very helpful. Thank you!
