This professional e-book helped build my knowledge on the Earth and the endless resources it provides, as well as the positive and negative impact that humans have on our planet. This book helped me to achieve mastery in concepts that I soon after incorporated into a lesson plan that I taught to my students. I can confidently say that I genuinely enjoyed reading this e-book, it was easy to navigate and the quizzes/activities were wonderful. The ideas in this e-book can align with a number of science standards and phenomena that can make for fun, interactive lessons for students.

This interactive e-book helped me build my knowledge of the concepts relating to the role society plays in environmental degradation and the technological solutions that arise in response to environmental issues. I would definitely recommend this e-book for educators to update their own knowledge of the role society plays in environmental degradation or to use with their students. The quizzes at the end of each chapter are helpful with keeping you on track throughout the entire book. I learned a lot from this e-book and look forward to incorporating the information I learned in my future classroom.

This interactive textbook was engaging and informative. It presents a great amount of information while make a connection through it all. Nothing exists in isolation and that idea is evident in this book. I love how in-depth it goes into the different renewable sources and their importance. The accountability aspect of having knowledge checks throughout the section was a nice touch. You have the ability to answer mini assessments before the final one, which is reassuring to check your knowledge. I could see this being a very solid resource to use with higher elementary aged students.

This e-book gave me some great information relating to the 5th grade standard about how individuals and communities can protect the Earth's resources. There are also some really excellent connection to the Maryland state Environmental Literacy standards that are coming in the next year or so. Very clearly organized and with some really excellent concrete examples that could be the seeds for student research and action planning.

I felt this E-book was very informal and helped me to learn more about the impact we have on the environment around us and how we can help protect the environment. This E-book would be very helpful in teaching students about the impacts of what we do as humans , can affect nature and animals. Each of the topics presented in the E-book is interesting and would help engage students. The E-book is easy to navigate and provides interactive elements that would help to teach students. There are many opportunities for assessment throughout the E-book that can allow students to check their understanding as they work through the E-book. The self checks help prepare you for the final assessment. As a future teacher, I hope to only provide my students with materials I have tested and find will engage them as learners. This E-book would be a resource I would most likely use in a classroom setting to teach students about the resources and the human impact. I think this is a great E-book that will engage students while also teaching them valuable content.

I am a student teacher who is very passionate about the environment so I enjoyed completing this eBook. It includes extensive details on a variety of topics, such as population change and sustainable energy. Each of these topics is relevant to students' lives. The eBook includes a variety of real-life examples that can be integrated into classroom lessons, such as the changes in salmon population. I look forward to using the knowledge I acquired from this eBook, as well as other resources on NSTA to better future lessons on resources and human impact. These topics are very important for students to understand to make change.

I am a teacher candidate studying to become a middle school science teacher and I can confidently say that after reading this E-book, I can clearly see how it is relevant to student's lives thereby increasing their motivation. It is important for educator's to have a strong foundation of the background information prior to teaching it to their students and writing lesson plans. I love how this book gave examples of how human actions can affect the environment and it builds on common misconceptions many students hold. The assessments through out the E-book keep the reader engaged and on their toes while increasing the reader's practice and testing their comprehension of the material. The book also includes many graphics and visuals that can be used by educators in their lesson plans for students who are visual learners or need scaffolding. Many ideas from this E-book can be used to create lesson plans that align with the state standards and even aid in teaching students the nature of science through phenomena.

As a preservice teacher, I really liked this E-book. I liked how it talked about the human impacts on the environment because many students have misconceptions about the factors that impact an animal's habitat. I think this E-book covers material in a child friendly way while still providing good information for the reader. I liked that this E-book used a mix of pictures and graphs in order to help the students see a visual of what is being talked about in the text. I also really liked the embedded assessments throughout the e-book because it helps with student engagement because the students will have to pay attention to the text and graphics in order to answer the questions. These questions will also allow them to practice reading and answering the type of questions that will be asked in the final assessment that they take at the end of the book. Overall, I think this book would be a great useful tool when teaching a lesson about the environment.

I really enjoyed this Scipack. I think it was very beneficial how they have it set up to where there are random assessments throughout the whole lesson rather than just being at the end. This helps to keep us focused and intrigued. It can be very easy to be distracted and lose focus but this helps prevent that happening. If anything, I would add a few more questions than it has towards the end of the lesson.

This E-Book was very interesting! I felt like I never got bored, and learned so much about our world and both positive and negative wonders it contains in it. I would love to go back and use this within my future classroom based of all the information it has contained in it. I would highly suggest this E-Book because not only is it a great information tool, but it also contains small quizzes through-out the book that are helpful for learners and will also provide you several science standards that can be use to make fun lessons/activities for students learning about our world and the impact we have on it!

I enjoyed this interactive ebook! I felt that the pictures provided helped to make the information easy to understand and to it made it easy to connect the words and their definition to real life ecosystems. I also felt that the implementation of random assessments throughout the book was beneficial. It keeps one focused and on their toes trying to retain this information. I felt that maybe for the "Check your thinking" sections, there could be a text box to jot down one's thoughts. That way, when the question is posed, one can write what they feel the answer is before immediately clicking to obtain the answer.

This is a visually appealing version of the NSTA Human Impact SciPack ($14). However, it doesn't include a certificate of completion at the end, like the SciPack. Many of the chapter titles are the same as the ones in the SciPack and it follows the same general outline. I have already completed the SciPack, passed the assessment, and earned a certificate. I'm disappointed that this E-book ($23) didn't provide any new resources or information.
