This article provides a general overview of how the 5E model can be implemented, over the course of an entire year, to introduce early-elementary students to changing weather and the seasons. By recommending specific tools for measurement and observation, Ashbrook outlines how teachers can support their young learners in explaining weather-related phenomena. The article only includes general ideas about how this practice could be extended over the course of a year, however, and instructors looking to implement its recommendations would need to flesh out her plans much more.
