I found this article extremely useful and applicable for teachers who use learning centers in their classroom. I have been using a lot of Math and ELA centers in my classroom but have not incorporated Science learning centers. I also like the different approaches to having learning centers in the classroom. The centers can be approached to be child direct to adult-directed. Most of my centers are facilitated by myself with some intervention. I want to be able to incorporate more child-directed centers where they can explore their interest and curiosity. This may create more engagement in the classroom because they will be able to make connections with their prior knowledge to what is presented in the classroom.
