Casting Your Event

by: Donna Governor and Denise Webb

In this chapter, we discuss the various tasks and the human resources that you will need for a successful event, as well as what roles you need to fill and where to find the help you need. Because one of our primary strategies is to put students in charge, this chapter emphasizes the role middle and high school students can take in your event and how to manage them. The main purpose of using students to host Family Science Nights is to have a student-led and student-driven event. References, safety notes, standards, and teacher background information are provided. This book selection also includes the Table of Contents, Preface, Acknowledgments, About the Authors, Introduction, Appendixes, and Index.
