edited by: Jack Rhoton

This chapter is by Chih-Che Tai, Ryan Nivens, Laura Robertson, Karin Keith, Anant Godbole, and Jack Rhoton. They discuss how to establish these partnerships, sustain active involvement in them, and use them to support instructional reform. Finally, they discuss the challenges of maintaining successful educational partnerships and the lessons learned while addressing those challenges. Teacher background information, standards, assessments, references, and resources are provided. This book selection also includes the Table of Contents, Foreword, Preface, Acknowledgments, and Index.
