Let’s Explore Waves!

edited by: Carla C. Johnson, Janet B. Walton, and Erin Peters-Burton

This lesson introduces waves as traveling disturbances that move through space and substances to transfer energy. Students explore the concept of waves through interactive read-alouds, a video, and an inquiry activity in which they explore waves in water. We recommend reading Chapter 3, which is included in this book selection and provides a Module overview and summary. A materials list, teacher background information, safety notes, standards, assessment, references, resources, and internet resources are provided. This book selection also includes the Table of Contents, About the Editors and Authors, Acknowledgments, Appendix A, B, and C, and Index.
