Archive: The Power of Partnership: Mentoring, Coaching, and Institutional Support for New Teachers, November 5, 2025

This panel brings together science teacher educators to share research-based insights and practical strategies on how mentoring relationships, instructional coaching, and NSTA support and empower novice educators. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how mentoring, coaching, and institutional support can be a transformative learning experience for both new teachers and those who support them, promoting reflective practice and sustained professional growth. The discussion will highlight collaborative approaches that build teacher confidence, instructional skill, and professional identity, while addressing challenges faced in the early years of teaching.

This program is delivered as a collaboration between the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) and the Association for Science Teacher Education (ASTE).

All individuals receive a certificate of participation and 100 NSTA activity points for attending the live seminar and completing the end-of-program survey. A certificate of participation is not awarded for watching the recorded version of the program.
