I use this resource in both my Earth Science and Biology classes. The author gives so many options that it is possible for me to use one option with my freshmen and then follow up using another option with my sophomores the following year. Since using the author's format in presenting scientists' understanding of Deep Time, I have noticed students have a much better understanding of the large body of evidence used to explain the geologic record.

This chapter contains an amazing amount of information on ways to make deep time more accessible to students and a long list of resources for teachers to draw on for lessons. It provides information that both earth science and life science teachers can draw on for references as well as lesson planning. Highly recommended for both sets of teachers!
