Physical geography becomes a way to identify and better understand the components in the environment and the structure of the landscape. The activities in this chapter will help students build on their observational skills and begin to use interpretation as a way to better understand the world around them. In studying physical geography the terms natural resources, biome, and habitat are fundamental concepts in investigating the natural setting. An important physical feature is a watershed, which directly ties a land area with all the water within its boundaries.
