In the seminar, the moderator discussed the ways water is recycled by nature, municipalities, and NASA in space. She talked about the need for sophisticated water filtration systems on-board the International Space Station in order to reduce the amount of fresh water brought from Earth. She also discussed how to implement and use the engineering design process in class, including materials and equipment, concepts students will learn, and extension activities. I highly recommend this web seminar. Although designed for middle school, with a little modification this web seminar could provide resources for elementary and high school teachers.
