Delving Into Disasters

by: Christine Anne Royce

The topic of natural disasters provided many avenues for students to delve into existing data and conduct research. The activities described in this chapter involve students in uncovering information about previous natural disasters or events to construct explanations and use the science process skills of observations, prediction, and drawing conclusions. Students are then better able to consider what type of information they need to research a topic.
